An Author’s songs. Singer-songwriter Keith Wilson celebrates the release of his novel: Geillan: A Prisoner's Tale in an evening of interwoven song and literary reading. Mosaic is proud to partner with Keith Wilson - musician, author and, above all, storyteller - for a special night in which all of his media will intertwine for the unveiling of his new novel, "Geillan: A Prisoner's Tale." On April 15, Keith Wilson presents his newest creative initiatives in a unique performance that marries readings from the novel with musical performances of songs that tread the same emotional and psychological landscape as the characters in "Geillan." Songs will be performed by an ensemble featuring members of Wilson's former band, Lancaster staple Movies With Heroes, as well as other musicians. Join us as the story unfolds and together we partner to tell a new story . . . Wilson says, "Artistic expression for me has never been simple or singular. When writing songs with a band, I was always writing scraps of non-fiction, stories, and drawing or painting one thing or another. This is the first time in my life that I've had the opportunity to somehow bring more than one of these elements together. Mosaic offered the stage to attempt something a bit ambitious, and I knew immediately that this was my chance." More about Keith: Keith Wilson played guitar and sang with Lancaster-based band Movies With Heroes for over a decade. The band toured the Eastern half of the U.S. and toured Europe twice supporting the European release of the critically acclaimed CI Records release "Nothing Here is Perfect." Upon dissolution of that project, Keith continued to write material which evolved under the moniker Saint Narcissus. Saint Narcissus reflects a less bombastic and more nuanced and reflective side of his songwriting. However, the Saint Narcissus songs are no less emotionally affecting and melodically surprising. Frequently joining Keith as Saint Narcissus are former MWH members Jeff Royer and Adam Lenhart. Keith and Adam have since returned to Ireland to perform both MWH and Saint Narcissus songs. |
